From the Start

It all begins with the beads for me!!! I work with beads from all over the world; semi-precious stones, horn, glass, wood, resin, bone, and metal. My overall approach to design is timeless fashion through a modern, global, Afro-Futurist lens. 

My Aesthetic

Design to me is all about the mix!!! The push and pull, the tension, the light, and dark. It's the depth of color found in semi-precious stones combined with the textures of metal, wood, glass, and ceramic beads. In that mix... is where I find my inspiration for jewelry design!!!

One of a Kind & Hand Made
A lot of the items found here are one of a kind. Incorporating rare finds and special beads in my designs is what makes QD so unique. I hand make everything you see here in my upstate New York-based studio. This playground allows me to bring together old world techniques with an artful global approach to color, and a modern sense of functionality and style.
